Projects for Change

Projects for Change is for any student who would like to get the tools to help change the world for the better. Using a college curriculum and overseen by a college professor and others who are experienced in the field, students learn how to become social entrepreneurs and community activists. The multi-week program begins by the student groups identifying a problem, confirming the problem through stakeholder interviews, and then creating a solution to solve the problem. Assisted by mentors throughout the process, the students then pitch to a panel – which has included representatives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Ashoka, Calvert Investments, and others. All groups receive feedback from our guests, plus many groups receive seed funding from CONNECTdmv.
